About the publication
Asosiy Aktiv is a business publication covering the economy of Uzbekistan: business, finance, technology, diplomacy and politics.
What we do
We explain what stands behind the numbers: how regulators' decisions reach the entrepreneur, where exchange rates and interest rates come from, who actually owns the companies. We publish in Russian, Uzbek and English — one newsroom, three languages, not machine translation.
How we work
- Data comes from primary sources only. Exchange rates from the Central Bank, interest rates from the banks themselves, quotes from the stock exchange. Every figure on the site names its source and the time it was updated.
- Every article is signed. Each author has a page listing their work and a way to get in touch.
- Sponsored and partner material is labelled. It is visible at a glance and never passed off as editorial.
- We correct mistakes. Spotted an error — write to us, we will fix it and state the date of the correction.
